Save you self a packet on a package holiday

Package holidays are by far the most popular type of holidays booked. A package holiday usually includes flights, accommodation, possibly transfers and sometimes entertainment. Depending on what package you opt for it may also include food and drinks.

Everyone likes a bargain, so when booking your package holiday be sure to do some shopping around to get the best price. There are many comparison sites online that allow you to view holidays to a destination on set dates and see what the main travel agents are charging. Once you have a price, use this as your basis for haggling. Call each travel agent direct and ask them if they can beat the price you have already been quoted. Be sure to give them as much detail of what is included as possible to make sure you get a like for like quote. If you are looking to pay for your holiday in full, then you could always ask for a discount for paying this way too.

A few weeks before your holiday, start to look in to the best price you can get for converting your money to the correct currency. If you don’t do this until you are at the airport then you can expect to pay higher charges or get a lower rate than if you had shopped around.
