If you have been tyring to book a holiday away in the UK for the school holidays, you may have been disappointed to find that most campsites and many hotels are now already fully booked. With the uncertainty over holidays abroad, many people booked holidays in the UK early to ensure that they got a place. With the government looking at changing the rules regarding isolation etc after returning from amber list countries for the double jabbed and children, there has been a big surge in bookings for holidays abroad. This has meant that some people that had UK holidays booked have now cancelled them in favour of their holiday to another country. It is definitely worth checking for pitches or hotels etc in your chosen location as new ones are being added daily as cancellations are made.
If you do happen to find availability then you need to act fast as it is likely that they won’t be there for long. If you are booking at short notice (within 4-6 weeks of travel) you may have to pay the full price of the holiday in one go and it may mean that you do not get your money back should you have to cancel.
