Spa retreat holidays

So many of us are in need of a break way. It may be that your summer holiday has been cancelled or postponed this year and instead you are considering going on a few mini breaks until you get to go on a main holiday. There are a number of different types of mini breaks you can do but if you want something that is truly relaxing then why not opt for a spa break.

There are many ways in which to enjoy a spa break from spending a day relaxing by the pool and having a few treatments to making a weekend of it and staying away for a few nights at a spa resort. Many spa breaks even include meals and sometimes a glass or two of wine. You may think that a spa is only going to serve you health food and drinks and that may not be exactly what you fancy, but often spa hotels have restaurants that you can dine in that offer alcoholic drinks and pub style meals.

If booking with a spa direct, you may find that it soon adds up, especially if you want one or more treatments such as back massage or facial. You may be able to get a great deal on a voucher site such as Wowcher which can often save you a fair amount of money.

If you are wanting to holiday in the UK, you need to book soon!

So many of us are desperate to go on holiday this year. The last twelve months really has taken its toll on many of us and it may be that your holiday last year got cancelled. With the current isolation rules in place for people returning from a long list of countries, you may decide that it is going to be a good idea to try and stay local. The problem is everyone one else is also thinking the same thing. This means there is a going to be a higher demand for places at campsites, hotels and holiday homes in the UK and many of them have already reported how booked up they are getting. On top of this, many owners are having to accommodate bookings that were taken last year which have had to be moved forward to this year.

If you do desperately want to go away this year you need to book it as far in advance as possible. It may be that you have to be put on a waiting list, in which they will contact you when they have availability. Don’t be tempted to leave it until the last minute as this may well mean that you miss out completely.

Holiday set to be delayed for another year

With the latest restrictions being announced regarding travel, it seems that this year again is going to see major disruption to the travel and tourism industry. The government have stated that there are going to be isolation hotels set up in many places across the UK. These hotels will be for people arriving into the UK who will be forced to isolate for 10 days. During these ten days they will not be able to leave their hotel room and will have food served to them. This stay will be charged up to £1500 per person meaning that it will add a huge chunk on to the cost of the holiday.

This will mean that a lot of people will not want to or will not be able to go on holiday abroad this year. There is going to initially be 30 countries added to the quarantine list but this is likely to change and possibly grow over time.

If you are wanting to holiday this year then it is likely going to have to be a trip in the UK, but with hotels, campsites and holiday homes booking up fast you may struggle to get somewhere. Many places are still having to fulfil bookings they took last year so this has left them with limit availability.

Is 2021 going to see a holiday boom?

With so many of us missing out on our annual holiday this year, we are determined not to miss out again in 2021. Next year is still looking very uncertain and it is likely that things will get worse again before they get better.

There are going to be so many people looking to go on holiday that there is likely to be high completion especially for popular tourist destinations. People who had holidays booked for this year may of had them moved forward to 2021 meaning there will be less availability than usual.

Ideally you need to try and book your holiday as early as possible to avoid disappointment but be aware that it may need to be changed or cancelled again should the Covid situation worsen.

Ensure that you have an adequate insurance policy that will cover you should you she. To cancel or should you require medical attention when away. Some policies are not offering this cover as standard so it is vital that you double check before departing. You may also be required to isolate upon your return to the UK so be prepared that you may need additional time off work than you had originally planned.

Family holidays to the Cornish Riviera

Probably one of the best destinations for a holiday in the UK is Cornwall in the south of England as shown by the enormous number of visitors that head south in the summer.

One of the reasons for this popularity is that the climate is often a few degrees warmer than counties further north and so an out of season holiday may be as enjoyable if not more so as there may be less tourists and accommodation is less expensive. A walk on the beautiful sandy beaches in Cornwall can be enjoyed whatever the season.

If you enjoy a holiday on one of the many caravan and camping parks or prefer a stay in a friendly guest house or hotel, you will be spoilt for choice in Cornwall. Holiday accommodation can be expensive in coastal resorts but If you are willing to stay inland a few miles the cost of your holiday can be significantly reduced.

A stay on one of the Cornish farms that have accommodation on site can be a brilliant choice for a family giving younger members of your party the opportunity to interact with the farm animals. It may also be possible to sample some of the fresh produce from the farm a delicious treat for all the family.
